How much light does the GLO-TOOB give off? Can I read my book with the GLO-TOOB light?

Once again, not a simple answer as there are many factors that influence the ‘exact’ light intensity level, but we’ll try to simplify the answer, by giving you a few examples… In good conditions, the GLO-TOOB can be spotted with the naked eye at a distance of more than 2 miles. Within a tent, or even a small to medium sized room, the GLO-TOOB gives off enough ‘ambient’ light to read a book or map with easily. The GLO-TOOB can be ‘too’ intense in certain situations to the point that it distracts the user…we suggest using the 25% intensity mode on the FX unit in this situation, and/or mounting the unit on your back or side or helmet/headgear.
